In the United Kingdom, Sartorius currently employs more than 1000 people at six sites in Epsom, Glasgow, Havant, Royston, Stonehouse and Nottingham. The site in Royston, formerly TAP Biosystems, became part of Sartorius through acquisition in 2013. Among manufacturing bioprocessing tools like chromatography equipment and fermentation systems, sites in UK are home to a competence center for bioanalytics and biosafety as well as a competence center for designing and manufacturing of plastic components, such as filtration units and laboratory-scale bioreactors.
