This training course will look at advanced search strategies and techniques for FTO, understanding the claims and how to review third party documents. Subject-specific search techniques will be provided for biotechnology, chemistry, devices and engineering.

This course is aimed at those with experience of patent searching who need to improve or update their expertise in freedom to operate search and analysis. We recommend that attendees have undertaken CIIPM’s Freedom to Operate Fundamentals training or a similar FTO course.
