Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management & Leadership

This CMI qualification is aimed at practicing or aspiring managers who supervise or manage a team. Can be completed as a profesional qualification or as a diploma through an apprenticeship. 

The qualification structure has been designed to support Learners to select combinations of units to address own development needs and interests. The units developed for each theme will also enable organisations to tailor the CMI Certificate/Diploma to address specific organisational development needs.

Course Structure

The CMI Level 3 Certificate Principles of Management & Leadership professional qualification can be delivered in your organisation by the Marshall Centre either with face-to-face workshops or as remote virtual sessions. Both delivery methods include learning materials, engaging videos, pathway workbooks and access to Management Direct. Management Direct is a complete online library of comprehensive and up-to-date material that addresses current management practice, supports studying and those looking to develop their skills.

Additional information

  • Learners must complete any combination of units to a minimum of 130 TUT hours, 13 credits to achieve this qualification.

  • Learners completing the Level 3 Certificate will have access to Management Direct and will become an Associate CMI Member for the duration of their qualification

Who is it for?
This qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers who supervise or manage a team, or project officer and shift manager to achieve clearly defined outcomes. They will set and monitor goals and objectives by providing instruction, direction and guidance and have day to day operational and project activities are a key part of their role. The qualification has been designed for practising or aspiring managers in roles such as Team Leader, Supervisor, Project Officer, Shirt Manager and Foreperson.
