Practical Essentials of Gases & Plumbing in GC & GC-MS

This is module 2 of the Complete GC & GC-MS and covers gases and plumbing from the source to the instrument along with sample introduction in gas chromatography and GC-MS in detail.

This course has been approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) for purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

This 1-hour module is taught live in a virtual classroom, is fully interactive with instrument parts and consumables shown & explained. There are small group sizes so plenty of opportunities to ask questions then get them answered on screen!

This module covers gases and plumbing in gas chromatography and looks in detail at the types of carrier gases, detector gases and cooling gases used. The course then looks at the gas supply; how gases are plumbed into the GC; the reasons to use gas purifiers and the types available; and how the gas flow and pressure is controlled.
