Rainbow Runway

Get ready for Drag Bingo, a fashion show, bubbles, and many more surprises, as Grand Arcade hosts Rainbow Runway to raise money for the Pink Festival charity, in support of Cambridge Pride.

On 12 June, attendees will enjoy a colourful private fundraising event like no other! From 6.30pm to 9.00pm join Felicity Flappes, the iconic Cambridge drag queen, and an excited crowd as Rainbow Runway takes over the first floor of the Grand Arcade.

Julie Kervadec from the Grand Arcade said: “Grand Arcade is delighted to host Rainbow Runway, an event that embodies our commitment to inclusivity and community. By partnering with The Pink Festival charity, we aim to celebrate and support the vibrant LGBTQ+ community in Cambridge. This event will not only showcase fabulous fashion and entertainment but also contributes to a meaningful cause, helping to fund Cambridge Pride and ensure a joyous, free celebration for all.”

The evening will feature interactive Drag Bingo, followed by a Fashion Show with models from the LGBTQ+ community wearing a selection of Grand Arcade’s brands, including: John Lewis & Partners, Hobbs, Levi’s, Mango, RetroGusto, and Vans. Kiko, Kuoni, and Rituals will also be supporting the event.

Marika Newman from John Lewis said: “We are proud to be taking part in this wonderful event, which promotes inclusivity while raising funds for a great charity and event in Cambridge. We look forward to seeing the wonderful models wear our clothing. Our beauty brands and artists will help them to strut their stuff down the catwalk!”

Throughout the evening, attendees will also be entertained by famous Dutch DJ, Alejandro Martinez. Tickets are available online for £10 per person, which includes a complimentary glass of prosecco or soft drink, with all proceeds going towards The Pink Festival charity.

Gordon Bateman, Chair of Cambridge Pride said: “We are incredibly grateful to Grand Arcade for hosting Rainbow Runway, and to all of the brands and individuals who are set to be involved and make such a brilliant event. This generous support is vital for making Cambridge Pride a reality, allowing us to create an inclusive, free celebration for the entire community. Rainbow Runway will help us to welcome around 15,000 people to this year’s Pride, ensuring a memorable event for all.”

Cosmin, a former Anglia Ruskin University fashion student and RetroGusto representative, said: “Rainbow Runway promises to be an enjoyable night for everyone. It’s been a joy to help organise the event, alongside Grand Arcade. I’m looking forward to seeing all the hard work we’ve been putting in come to fruition on the evening.”
