Relevant but irreverent: Science, technology, engineering and maths meet Would I Lie to You, Have I Got News for You and QI! Join our two teams of science communicators, university researchers and local STEM professionals as they deal with current affairs, crazy tales, and bizarre research and applications.
This evening event in Frankopan Hall, Jesus College, will take a light-hearted look at the wonders that power our world and the solutions to threats we face. Audiences can join in person or via live stream from home. In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to ask the panel their questions.
Panellists:
Isabel Thomas: Award-winning science author of The Bedtime Book of Impossible Questions and Exploring the Elements.
Prof. Jeremy Baumberg: Leader of a UK Centre for Nanotechnology at the University of Cambridge and author of The Secret Life of Science.
Dr Jason Mellad: A scientist entrepreneur passionate about translating innovative technologies into better patient outcomes.
Harriet Fear MBE: Director of Cambridge& and a British Diplomat who served in 17 countries, including the Congo and Ethiopia.
