About the role
Salary: £37,924 + 18% shift allowance + Bonus
Working Hours: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm (alternating each week) – On site
Join our Maintenance Team at our flagship Fluids plant in Bootle and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the plant equipment by delivering on-site maintenance plans and long-term strategies. As a crucial link between production and engineering, your effective communication skills will be essential in swiftly resolving reactive issues.
Background Checks:
Given the nature of this role, the successful candidate will undergo background checks, including a DBS check, and provide 5 years of employment/educational references. Completion of these checks is a prerequisite for commencing the role.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure business SHEQ standards are adhered to individually, ensuring appropriate procedures, risk assessments and permit to work procedures are in place and are being followed
· Drive Continuous Improvement within the area, with emphasis on Visual Management, 6S and LEAN initiatives
· Ensure that high levels of housekeeping are maintained
· To offer production support, including fault finding and small project management, assisting where possible to ensure that production runs to plan and on time.
· To install and relocate any engineering equipment as required by the business, also to complete planned and reactive maintenance activities on time and to schedule
· Provide support and mentorship for any Engineering apprentices on site
· Administer the site maintenance system, providing analysis where required
· Act as either Mechanical or Electrical lead within team. Undertaking all tasks as required in accordance with standard Domino working practices and quality procedure
· Demonstrate and role model Company values and leadership behaviours, setting the standards.
· Complete annual training requirements, performance and development reviews as well as Individual Development Reviews in line with the company requirements
About you
· A Recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Qualification - Time served apprenticeship / HNC / HND. High levels of proven skills and experience within an appropriate manufacturing maintenance role will also be considered
· A basic level of IT experience, specifically working with Microsoft 365 and maintenance systems / CMMS / PLC / SCADA experience is advantageous
· Excellent customer service skills, understanding the needs of key internal stakeholders and looking for solutions to ensure planned maintenance is achieved and priorities are met within in a timely manner
· Great communication skills, with the ability to understand and solve problems, show empathy with internal customer issues and liaise with members of the management team where appropriate
· Confident to work independently, seeking assistance as and when appropriate
· Flexible and adaptable to react to unexpected tasks or customer demand
· Willingness to develop cross skills to other areas of the maintenance team (mainly electrical or mechanical)
· CompEx 01-04 / 05-06 Qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
· C&G 2391 Qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
