On Tuesday 26 November 2024, Allia marked its 25th anniversary with an inspiring celebration, reflecting on its journey since 1999 and unveiling bold plans for the future. The event brought together partners, supporters, and changemakers who have contributed to Allia’s vision of transforming the business landscape to make social impact the norm.
Held at St Catharine’s College the milestone event highlighted Allia’s incredible achievements over the past quarter-century. These include supporting thousands of social ventures, startups and charities to grow and thrive, all while making a tangible difference in their communities.
“We are so proud of how far we’ve come since our founding in 1999,” said Tim Jones, Chairman Allia Group. “This milestone is a testament to the power of collaboration and the commitment of so many individuals and organisations who share our vision. As we look to the next 25 years, we are more determined than ever that Allia must continue to drive a world where all businesses are making a positive impact.”
The evening also included the release of Allia’s Impact Report 1999–2024, a comprehensive overview of its accomplishments and aspirations. The report underscores the organisation’s commitment to accelerating ventures that tackle social challenges, fostering innovation, and championing sustainability.
For those unable to attend the celebration, Allia invites supporters to visit its anniversary webpage to explore the Impact Report and learn how they can contribute to its transformative initiatives.
Looking Ahead – Tipping Point Initiative
As Allia embarks on its next chapter, we hope to further our impact – helping more businesses make a deeper and wider change in our society and world. The ambition is nothing less than to transform the focus of business in the UK. We are aiming for a tipping point where social impact businesses move from being around 10% of all businesses, to beyond the key adoption point of 16% where research shows that a trend is destined to become mainstream, to at least 20%. Over time this means the creation of an extra 40,000 new social impact start-ups a year.
