The new WTTC stamp, coordinated by Visit Britain in the UK, enables travellers to recognise destinations around the world where they can experience ‘Safe Travels.’ The ‘Safe Travels’ stamp comes in addition to Trinity Hall’s ‘We’re Good to Go’ status issued by Visit Britain for following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and offering a secure environment for conferences and events.
Jane Telfer, Conference and Events Manager at Trinity Hall, said: “We’re delighted to have received the ‘Safe Travels’ stamp in recognition of our health and hygiene protocols and to play our part in supporting the recovery of the meetings, events and tourism sectors in the UK. Although our College is currently closed for events while we focus on the wellbeing of our students, these awards highlight that we’ve been working hard behind-the-scenes and are ready to open as soon as it is safe to do so, in line with government guidelines. We’ve really missed our conference and events clients and can’t wait to welcome them back to us in Cambridge!”
The WTTC’s ‘Safe Travels’ stamp protocols take into account current WHO and CDC guidelines and will continue to be updated as new information and research becomes available about COVID-19.
Acquiring the ‘We’re Good To Go’ Industry standard from Visit Britain means that Trinity Hall has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, has a Risk Assessment in place and a process for maintaining cleanliness and social distancing throughout College.
