Experience and skills we need you to have

We are primarily looking for you to bring us your skills and experience in B2B sales and new business development using a consultative sales approach. You need to be a confident communicator - able to build rapport both online and face-to-face, listening closely to identify customer needs and conducting virtual sales demonstrations via Zoom and MS Teams. What we really value is your resilience and persistence in pursuing sales from busy people who often have little time available! We’d also like to see evidence of your writing skills and how you plan and prioritise calls and tasks to optimise sales opportunities.

How we will reward you

Scott Bradbury provides a supportive, flexible and often autonomous working environment, encouraging you to develop your own skills and expand your professional experience. We encourage flexibility in your role - you are not restricted by your job title!

The basic salary is between £25-30k as a starting point. Depending on performance this will be reviewed on a 6-monthly basis. When the company is performing well, and at the discretion of the owners, we make bonus payments to the whole team. We do not pay sales commission as such because sales are derived through the collaborative work of the whole team. The salesperson may ‘close’ the sale, but without the rest of the team, this is unlikely to have been possible. However, salaries are reviewed in the light of performance and results will be rewarded appropriately.

What else will you receive?

  • 28 days’ paid holiday (in addition to public holidays)
  • Enrolment into our company pension scheme. In addition to enhanced employer contributions, we pay for each employee to have a private one-hour consultation with an independent financial advisor, during their first couple of months with us
  • The opportunity to have a big impact on our activities and to influence corporate strategy
  • A flexible mix of working from home and from the company’s offices, as desired. (The initial induction period is likely to be predominately, although not exclusively, office-based). We have a great location with parking set in grounds where you can relax and have your lunch (weather permitting!)

Who you will be reporting to and working with

You will report directly to our Managing Director, Catherine de Salvo, and work most closely with our Marketing Manager, Alice Hubbard. As we are a small team, you will have a close working relationship with each member of our team. You will also liaise with our external telemarketer and direct marketing agency.
