The Digital HR Transformation Lead will work within Digital HR Products and Platform team on various Global Digital HR transformation programs and lead the overall Digital HR Demand Management process.  The purpose of this team is to focus on enabling simplified and compelling workforce experiences for Employees and Managers through core Digital HR Products and Platform and associated processes.


The role holder will have extensive experience of managing, leading, and deploying global HR technology improvement initiatives across multiple change requests.  He/She will have in-depth experience in building robust relationships across HR to understand current challenges of AstraZeneca’s HR digital and experience landscape, underpinned by data from multiple sources, such as surveys, benchmark, and extensive internal and external research to influence the case for change. He/She will be able to consult and influence with our internal Digital Council, Global Process Owners and Product Owners to understand and map out how current technology can enhance critical HR processes and provide personalized, scalable, intelligent, and trusted capabilities to deliver higher business value and experiences.  He/She will prioritize the overall HR Digital demand, ensuring resources and efforts are allocated to the most critical items ensuring maximum return on efforts.


Key accountabilities

  • Lead the Digital HR Demand Process: The role will be accountable for ensuring the overall approach to Digital HR demand is quantified, validated, prioritized, and resourced (project and BAU demand).  Ensures all demand meets the requirement of ROI/ROE and is not being created in a silo.  Working with collaboratively with HRIT on capacity and resource requirements.

  • Business Analysis & Process Support. Provide business analysis and process support for demand and project related items, working with HR and COE’s on “as is” and ‘to be”.

  • Building strong relationships across HR and COE’s. Ensure all pain points are understood and working in collaboration with the product teams to understand where core system can close gaps on pain points.

  • Annual Demand Planning.  Working with HR and COE’s, he/she will own the annual planning process which will identify opportunities for future focused demand items and collaborating with the PMO for appropriate project and PMO support.

  • Digital Council & GPO Network.  Own the relationship with the Digital Council & GPO Network; facilitate the Digital Council & GPO agenda and meetings.  Ensure Digital Council and GPO network understands their role; used demand data to improve quality and consistency across GPO network.   


Skills & experience

The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter who is passionate about driving digital transformation and change.

  • Experience in leading digital HR Transformation change initiatives, across the HR enterprise.

  • Experience in owning a portfolio of change management items and the ability to prioritize multiple and conflicting requirements

  • Experience of evaluating user requirements and translating those into impactful solutions

  • Familiar with various HR technology and ecosystem of products- Workday, Service Now, Data Lake, Degreed, Learning ecosystem etc.

  • Experience related to the implementation and management of enterprise digital HR applications/platforms and overall change management

  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to successfully navigate between HR and HRIT teams

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships and working collaboratively with our global process owners and business stakeholders

  • Experience of managing multiple projects/programmes in a large global organisation

  • Project planning, management, risk monitoring and mitigation

  • Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities 

  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution

  • Ability to motivate and set the direction for a direct and dotted line team

  • Experience of working in a complex, global matrix organisation


 Nice to have:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Analytics, Data science, Finance, Information sciences

  • Experience of MicroStrategy, Power BI

  • Strong knowledge of Digital HR Ecosystem and products like Workday, Service Now etc

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology of experience working in an Agile way

  • Knowledge of lean methodologies

  • Knowledge of design thinking methods and tools
