Opportunities for permanent roles in a range of business sectors


This is a newly created opportunity to support the General Counsel with legal administration aspects of Amadeus Capital Partners.

As the Paralegal you will be responsible for assisting the firm’s legal and regulatory function, including with transactional support and company secretarial matters. The role will be very hands-on from the outset and there is scope for the role to grow as the business moves forward.

The role can be either Cambridge or London office based, (with the potential for 2 home office days/week) though will involve occasional travel between the offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal and support to the General Counsel on legal, administrative and compliance matters including;
  • Company secretarial work, such as preparing board papers and agendas and general maintenance of company registers
  • Supporting the General Counsel on legal processes and generally assisting with the maintenance of the business’s legal files
  • Maintain and update legal files ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
  • Providing fund legal support and assisting with investment transaction legal reviews
  • Writing and reviewing NDA’s
  • Preparing and maintaining other internal records, including recording investment and exit decisions and taking minutes of advisory board meetings
  • Working with the Investor Relations Manager to assist with due diligence support on fund raising processes
  • Supporting the compliance and regulatory function and working with external compliance consultants to make filings and assist with the general maintenance of internal materials
  • Providing support in undertaking the company’s anti-money laundering checks
  • Providing assistance to the company’s reporting team with ensuring accurate internal records are kept and to generally assist with data management on portfolio companies and investors

The Successful Individual:

  • A law degree or similar level qualification with a GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law); and passed the LPC (Legal Practice Course)
  • Private practice experience in a corporate or funds team, ideally at a city firm. 
  • Relevant in-house experience at a VC/PE company would be advantageous
  • Solid legal administrative skills - accurate, with a superb level of attention to detail and able to work to timescales, implementing good practices and maintaining high standards throughout all aspects of the role.
  • Solid and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word, with an understanding of CRM systems combined with the ability to learn and grasp new technology quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – a team player who can build good working relationships at all levels within the organisation. 
  • Organised, methodical and able to prioritise and adjust to last minute updates/changes to data and content
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and on own initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
