Senior Product Manager, Cancer Cell Models

Horizon Discovery’s screening business unit seeks a Global Senior Product Manager to help fulfill its mission of accelerating the speed of life-saving medicines to the market by providing researchers with a world-class assay development and screening platform service that is dedicated to understanding and interrogating the biology behind genomics, oncology, and the immune system.

This position will focus on developing strong and immediately executable strategies defining the future of Horizon’s Cell Panel Screening services. This role will be responsible for identifying and proposing new business plans for Horizon’s OncoSignatureTM platform, particularly based on the synergies found within Horizon’s recent acquisition by PerkinElmer. Successful candidates will have familiarity with automation, high-throughput screening, functional readouts, and cancer cell lines.

This is a dynamic, fast paced role with the opportunity to shape the future of products, serving as the business leader, voice of customer, and facilitator of the Cell Panel Screening platform with executive level visibilty. 

This is a remote position that may require up to 20% travel post-COVID.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leading the CPS/HTS platform including identification and analysis of tools for platform expansion/optimization
    • Establish and propose a business case for integrating PerkinElmer technologies into existing or new screening services; develop and lead cross-functional teams to support
    • Maintain and develop the roadmap for the existing cell panel screening portfolio
    • Partner cohesively with sales and marketing to ensure appropriate content and marketing collateral is being produced
    • Define the pricing strategy to ensure pricing is appropriate and is delivering on margin/revenue goals
    • Deliver scientific content, messaging and/or training to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Partner closely with project management and operations to ensure smooth delivery of services and results
    • Fully understand and segment the market to develop targeted commercial strategies

    Key Qualifications

    • BS or MS degree with extensive expertise in the life science industry
    • Strong understanding of high-throughput screening and/or CRO services
    • Strong scientific and business acumen, with a demonstrated history of managing new and fast-growing product/service portfolios
    • Ability to engage with customers and translate scientific VOC into business ventures
    • Strong leadership, scientific, project management, and business development skills coupled with the ability to work with global and remote teams
    • Self-starting strategic thinker with a demonstrated track record of success in the development of product road-mapping and execution
    • Intellectually curious; able to assimilate a broad base of information to quickly understand customer needs and match those to opportunities and internal capabilities
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally throughout an organization, leveraging soft skills to communicate and lead through influence
