Technical Manager

We are looking to appoint a talented individual to lead CCDC’s Software Development team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team and also responsible for the establishment and continuous improvement of the processes and tools used by the team, for the quality of the teams’ output, and for the oversight and active management of any technical debt. 

We are looking to appoint a talented individual to lead CCDC’s Software Development team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team and also responsible for the establishment and continuous improvement of the processes and tools used by the team, for the quality of the teams’ output, and for the oversight and active management of any technical debt. 

Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:

-Leading a team of software engineers, developing and executing the CCDC’s software development strategy.

-Member of the Operational Management Team (OMT)

-Work effectively with project teams to provide appropriately skilled staff to ensure delivery against agreed priorities

- Collaborate with the appropriate functions and users to evaluate and identify technology platforms for delivering the company’s products and internal services

-Drive consistent standards and best practices throughout the development teams, collaborating with other technical groups where appropriate;

-Accountable for the quality of their team’s output;

-Accountable for the team’s ability to deliver on time and in full;

The successful candidate will have a higher university degree or equivalent, a strong understanding of the Agile software development cycle, be familiar with more than one software development methodology, the ability to set and manage priorities judiciously and the ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
