A new opportunity to join our Finance team as a Accounts Payable Assistant. This is a 2 year fixed term role.
About the role:
You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Accounts Payable service to the Institute, including process staff expense claims, matching Purchase Order invoices and invoice authentication for non-purchase order invoices. Liaising with all levels of staff within the institute and suppliers to ensure all invoices are processed in a timely manner.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of working in a high volume purchase ledger department.
- Confident in dealing with internal and external people through all communication channels.
- Ability to organize and prioritize own workloads.
- Computer literate, in particular Microsoft Excel.
- Flexible approach to be able to respond to changes in workload at short notice.
- Accuracy in data entry
About You:
An experienced Accounts Payable Assistant who is used to working in a large organization, dealing with large volumes of invoices and queries and working to deadlines, along with experience of processing expense claims.
About Us:
We provide support for the Wellcome Genome Campus, Wellcome Sanger Institute and Institute spin-out companies to enable our scientists to deliver their science at scale. To do this we plan for future needs, coordinate forecasts, provide risk analysis and management, oversee grant submissions and management, procure equipment, consumables and services, and ensure a good control environment.
We are part of the Financial Accounting team who are part of the larger finance team at Sanger who provide support and guidance for all programs on the campus.
