Unlock Your Potential: Be the Backbone of Innovation!

Are you ready to step into a role where your organisational prowess and proactive mindset will directly impact the success of a leading enterprise? Join Cambridge Enterprise as the Executive Assistant to our incoming CEO and become an integral part of our dynamic team.

Why you will love this role:

Imagine starting your day by coordinating high-stakes meetings that shape the future of innovation. You’ll be the trusted right-hand to our CEO, managing complex schedules, and ensuring seamless communication across departments. Your role will be pivotal in driving efficiency and fostering a collaborative environment. Not only will you gain unparalleled insight into the workings of a top-tier organisation, but you’ll also develop a network of influential contacts and hone your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding setting.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys making meaningful contributions. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of the CEO’s schedule, optimise processes, and act as a key point of contact both within and outside the organisation. Along the way, you’ll gain unparalleled insight into the inner workings of a leading organisation and build lasting relationships with professionals at all levels. What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role supporting senior executives.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities seamlessly.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and AI-driven platforms for scheduling, communication, and document management.
  • Discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential information.
  • Nuanced interpersonal skills – you can build rapport with anyone and maintain effective relationships inside and outside the organisation.
  • A balance of informal yet rigorous work style – you know how to get things done through personal connections rather than relying solely on hierarchy.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and solve unexpected challenges with a calm, solution-focused mindset.
  • A self-starter who can anticipate needs, take initiative, and think ahead without constant supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting high-quality reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to convey positive energy internally and externally.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in the higher education sector or supporting C-level executives in any industry.
  • A fresh, outsider perspective that can offer innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the CEO’s efficiency.

Diversity and equality matter:

These are our ideal requirements, but we know some people are less likely to apply for the role unless they are 100% qualified. At Cambridge Enterprise, we promote a diverse, inclusive and empowering culture, so please apply if you meet most of the job requirements.

If you have any questions about the interview process, or if you need any reasonable adjustments, please don’t hesitate to contact Ian, Gemma, Michelle or Sofia at people@enterprise.cam.ac.uk
