We’re looking for a facilities Assistant to join our team and be responsible for maintaining our award-winning campus – a hub where ideas transform into world-changing technology.
TTP are an engineering and technology consultancy. Our Designers, Engineers and Scientists work on impactful projects for our clients ranging from small start-ups to global organisations across the Healthcare, Deep Tech and Life Sciences industries.
As a Facilities Assistant at TTP, you’ll work as part of small team overseeing the day-to-day upkeep of our campus. You’ll be coordinating essential services like electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, to keeping us on track with planned preventative maintenance schedules. As a key team member, you’ll ensure our waste and cleaning standards are upheld and help manage our energy usage to keep us sustainable and efficient.
Our facilities team is the first point of contact for any after-hours emergencies, so you’ll need to be comfortable responding to any urgent building or security issues. This role will also require a degree of manual work which will include working at height and using access equipment.
We don’t expect extensive experience in facilities management but, with the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we’ll support you with training to help you build any skills you need.
Responsibilities:
- Organising and overseeing contractors for general maintenance, and installation works.
- Schedule and manage ongoing maintenance across TTP’s campus to keep everything running seamlessly.
- Work with our H&S team to maintain a safe, compliant, and hazard-free workplace.
- As a vital member of the response team, you’ll help us stay prepared and respond to any critical situations like fire alarms, power outages, and more.
- Coordinate office moves, waste disposal and cleaning contracts to ensure that our facilities are kept clean and environmentally conscious.
- Support TTP Campus landscape management and ecology strategy.
- Monitor utilities to support an energy-efficient and sustainable site.
- Ensure TTP colleagues and stakeholders are updated on any facility matters.
- Support with projects that will improve and evolve our campus.
Requirements
Skills required to be suitable for this role include:
- Driving license is required for this position.
- Ideally you will also live within a close proximity to our TTP Campus.
- Previous experience using Microsoft office, NetSuite, SharePoint or any building management systems.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent time management.
- Keen problem-solving skills and can act fast and efficient to urgent matters.
- Able to confidently build relationships internally and externally.
