At Cambrionix, we're on the lookout for a talented Financial Accountant to join our team and help steer our financial operations through the next phase of growth and beyond. You’ll report directly to our CFO and be at the heart of driving key financial decisions, reporting, and planning as we continue to scale internationally.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the business, overseeing both the UK and our newly established US subsidiary. This role is ideal for someone looking to expand their expertise in an exciting and dynamic environment, gaining exposure to high-level decision-making. It will be based out of our offices in Cambridge.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee our US Subsidiary: Manage the integration and financial reporting of our newly incorporated US entity, including consolidation and year-end accounts for the first time.
- Monthly Financial Oversight: Lead month-end processes, financial consolidations, and create impactful reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders.
- Business Modelling & Forecasting: Collaborate with the CFO and CEO on annual budgets, business modelling, and cashflow forecasts.
- Tax & Transfer Pricing: Take charge of transfer pricing, tax planning, and R&D tax credit management.
- Manage Relationships: Establish and maintain key external relationships, including US payroll, tax filings, and reporting requirements.
- Insurance & Compliance: Oversee annual insurance renewals and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Who You Are:
You’re a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a growing, fast-paced environment. You’re excited to take on responsibility, drive improvements, and have an impact on a global scale. You bring strong technical financial knowledge and are ready to work closely with senior leaders to support business decisions.
Essential skills & experience:
- ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- At least 5 years’ experience in a finance role, ideally within small or growing businesses
- Strong experience with US subsidiaries, transfer pricing, and consolidation
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial reporting tools
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal guidance
