BAS delivers and enables world-leading interdisciplinary research in the Polar Regions. You’ll be joining our Polar Operations Senior Management Team
You’ll help us to deliver world class science & operations at our Antarctic research stations.
Within the role, there will be an opportunity to develop engineering, safety, and environmental best practice. This role delivers safety critical operations in some of the most challenging environments on Earth, at the limits of human and equipment performance.

- Keep abreast of relevant regulatory and sector developments to ensure maximum use is made of appropriate technology to deliver coherent solutions to issues.

For the role of Head of Polar Estates, we are looking for somebody who has:
- HNC/HND in a construction / engineering industry qualification or equivalent experience.
- Able to demonstrate practical experience of project management of large infrastructure projects or equivalent.
- Extensive experience of Polar Infrastructure
- Ability to respond quickly to change and encourage others to engage in the change process
