We believe in helping you map out your career path, and we’ve developed a structured framework that supports your development. Once you’ve completed the Level 4 Software Apprenticeship, you’ll also have the opportunity to progress to a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship, allowing you to specialise further and deepen your expertise in software engineering and testing.
Some of your responsibilities:
- Software Development: Learn and apply foundational skills in software engineering, including programming, test-driven development, modular design, and debugging. Deliver high-quality, compliant code.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform tests to ensure high quality in both new and existing projects, evaluate and modify tests for continuous improvement. Create and maintain bespoke test harnesses.
- Project Collaboration: Collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams on research projects. Contribute ideas and insights to drive innovation on client projects.
- Automation and Collaboration: Develop skills in test automation and collaboration within a software engineering team. Ensure high-quality software delivery.
