Manager, Corporate Development

Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate M&A professional to join Arm's Corporate Development team. The team is Arm's functional expert in the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, venture investments and related activities, globally.

Our team works with business divisions and the Arm Executive and Investment Committees to assess strategic priorities and deliver acquisitions and investments. We lead all aspects of deal origination and execution, including negotiation, valuation, modelling, transaction management and due diligence. A key part of the role is working with third parties and advisors.

We are also responsible for post-investment management of minority equity investments, including Board Director and Observer positions at portfolio companies.

What would my responsibilities be?

  • In conjunction with other Corporate Development team members, partnering with business and functional leadership to identify M&A and strategic investment opportunities
  • Delivering effective and efficient transaction execution
  • Reviewing opportunities for strategic fit with Arm and making financial and strategic comparisons between different potential target companies
  • Conducting due diligence and identifying transaction risks and challenges
  • Developing rationale/financial models and undertaking valuation analysis on target companies
  • Drafting effective presentations for Executive approvals
  • Involvement in the oversight and reporting on companies within the investment portfolio

Required Skills and Experience:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following experience!

  • Proven deal sheet and experience leading execution of M&A transactions on a day-to-day basis, with clear potential for growing responsibility
  • You will likely be part of an Investment Banking, Corporate Development or ‘Big 4’ Corporate Finance team.
  • Understanding of typical transaction terms, processes, documentation and mechanics
  • Strong financial analysis and experience working with business plan assumptions to construct credible financial scenarios and value companies
  • Flexibility to adapt approach to credibly engage with a variety of parties: Executive, divisional management, engineering, central functions and advisors
  • Good communicator, capable of working both in a team and independently
  • Excellent attention to detail

Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Technology or TMT experience is desirable, but not a prerequisite
