Post-doctoral Research Associate (Fixed Term)

The University of Cambridge is one of the world's oldest universities and leading academic centres. If you're looking for a new challenge and would like excellent benefits, extensive learning opportunities and a stimulating working environment in return for your skills and contribution, there could be a job here for you.

Our group discovered an unprecedented, evolutionary conserved core purine enzyme (FAMIN) that prevents inflammation and autoimmunity. Genetic loss of function causes monogenic Still's disease (a childhood fever syndrome with arthritis) and Crohn's disease (an inflammatory bowel disease), and a common hypomorphic variant predisposes for Crohn's disease and leprosy (a chronic infection).
