About the role
Our full-time Product Summer Internship is designed to enable current students on a Business/Product-related degree to translate their skills and expertise into an industrial setting. You will join us at our Head Office in Cambridge, UK, for 10 to 12 weeks, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside our world-class team of Developers, Mathematicians, Product Managers and Designers to meaningfully contribute to a specific area with our Product team.
We’re looking for a collaborative, creative and driven intern who’ll be trusted and excited to get hands-on behind the scenes in a real, product-centric commercial project, with support and guidance from a dedicated supervisor.
Keen to learn and explore, you will use your passion for knowledge to gain hands-on experience of cutting-edge products within in an exciting new field.
Requirements
What you will do
The nature of the Product internship is wide-ranging, and the specific project you work on will be informed both by your skillset and current projects, but you could expect to work on any of the following:
- Conducting market research to gather new insights about emerging product directions and industry trends
- Working with our customers and engineering teams to understand and communicate the requirements for new versions of our products
- Managing the delivery of a feature for our flagship Quantum Error Correction products
- Deep collaboration across multi-functional teams - the cutting-edge problems we're tackling sit right at the intersection of engineering, science, and product
- Designing and testing new business models for our product portfolio
What we need
- At the time of application, you will be a current student, in your 2nd+ year of your Bachelor's OR part way through your Master's or PhD in Business, Design, Marketing, Computer Science or a related field.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to take initiative and to work well as part of a team
- Ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data to support decision-making
- An interest in learning about quantum computing (extensive knowledge or experience is not required)
Even better if
- You’ve had prior experience working with development teams
- You have some data analytics experience
Important notes
- We are only able to consider applications from (i) current university students, who already have (ii) eligibility to work in the UK (e.g. UK/Irish nationals OR those who have UK/Irish settled/pre-settled status OR those who are on a valid UK student visa (iii) For those on a UK student visa, regrettably we can only accept applications from Bachelor's/Master's students (and not PhD students).

- You must be available full-time for 10 to 12 weeks over the summer, preferably starting on Monday 16th June 2025 until Friday 6th September 2025.

Benefits
Stipend
Interns receive a competitive stipend. The stipend is £27,000 (pro rata) for undergraduate students and £32,000 pro rata for PhD students. We will also pay for any expenses incurred as part of your role e.g. travel to meetings or conferences etc. Regrettably, we are unable to pay for travel to Cambridge or accommodation in Cambridge.
