Transactional Finance Manager

 

The Finance Team is here to bring value to Redgate by providing insightful financial advice and analysis, with integrity and objectivity, to support Redgate’s key decision making processes and organisational goals. In addition, we maintain our own high standards by running lean, compliant and operationally excellent practices.

We are looking for a Transactional Finance Manager to lead the Transactional Finance team. This role is key to managing Redgate’s transactional processes, policies and compliance. You’ll also be continually maintaining and improving the way the team works to ensure practices remain operationally excellent. In doing this you’ll directly support Redgate’s decision making processes through the provision of accurate and up to date transactional information, whilst helping position the Finance team to best meet the evolving and growing needs of the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead the Transactional Finance team, ensure sales invoices are accurately raised within required timescales, customers payments are received and processed, supplier invoices are received, approved and paid, whilst ensuing compliance for all of these tasks performed for customers and suppliers worldwide.  You will also support the Finance Operations team in the preparation of our monthly trial balance, including supporting Redgate through the external audit, dealing with transactional requests and queries.  You’ll need to have knowledge of managing teams and the processes involved when raising invoices, accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as being comfortable working in a team and supporting your colleagues.

  • You’ve a strong knowledge of managing teams including accounts receivable, invoicing and accounts payable roles
  • You’ve got a good understanding or processes and policies for transactional items as well as regulations around customer payment data

  • You’re comfortable giving financial advice and support to colleagues to resolve queries from around the business

What else would help?

  • Experience of:
    • Relevant financial or accounting qualification is desirable but not essential
    • Company credit card and customer credit card queries
    • Monitoring of credit control performance
    • Acquiring bank and payment gateway relationships
    • Accounting systems such as Sage 200, Oracle NetSuite and SAP Sapphire
    • Finance’s role in a software and technology businesses
    • Working in a multi-national company
