The New Managers’ Peer Learning programme brings together managers who are new to the role of managing people. It is a collaborative learning group, focusing on empowering delegates to identify common challenges then identify practical solutions.

“ Participating in the Peer Learning Group allowed us to take a look at our current management approaches and appraise them in a positive, supportive environment. We built on our existing knowledge through the use of a combination of management models and our own experiences to develop as managers. The facilitator was both thoughtful and challenging, and we covered ground that has really allowed me to grow into my current role. Participating in the group has armed me with the knowledge to face future challenges with confidence in my abilities. I can’t recommend the course enough for anyone who has recently become a manager and is looking for additional support and learning opportunities."

Topics are bespoke to the group but could cover: Managing people remotely/across borders, managing high/low performers, basic employment law, providing effective feedback to senior managers, influencing and persuasion.

Sample job titles of attendees:  Scientist, Office Manager, Comms Manager, Technical Manager, Finance Manager, Team Leader etc.
