The company, which started in ideaspace, is a start-up born out of the University of Cambridge. It specialises in the production of ultra-high-quality, impurity-free graphene in high volumes, an innovative multi-functional, high-performance material which is predicted to revolutionise industries.
Cambridge Nanosystems received the Hewitsons Award for Business Innovation at the ceremony at King’s College, Cambridge, on Thursday 19 March 2015, hosted by the BBC’s Jeremy Bowen. Jerome Joaug and Anna Mieczakowski accepted the award.
Jerome, the company’s managing director, said: “The team has accomplished a lot in the past year and it was extremely motivating to receive this award along with so many other great Cambridge-based companies.
“The year 2015 is very critical for us as we have just moved into our new production facility in Cambridge and are delivering several industrial projects.”
