Following record sales growth in 2010, 42 Technology (42T) is again adding to its existing in-house engineering and technology consulting resources with the creation of two new positions.
42 Technology welcomes New Year with new faces
Before joining the consultancy, Shay held design engineering positions with industrial inkjet company Xennia Technology and with technology start-up bTendo on the development of micro-video projectors. He started his industrial R&D career with the Israeli ministry of defence in 1996 following a bachelor’s degree and MSc in mechanical engineering from The Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. In addition to his academic successes Shay also received two major awards at the Institute: the excellent junior teacher award in recognition of his communications skills and a Sherman fund scholarship to help fund his research.
Dave English, who has joined to lead 42T’s software development team, has worked as an associate since 2009 before deciding to take up a full-time, in-house role with the consultancy. Dave has an MA in computer science from University of Cambridge and 10 years’ experience as an embedded software engineer for companies such as Rio, who pioneered the world’s first portable MP3 player and with Cambridge-based ARM and DisplayLink. In his spare time he is a snow-boarder instructor.
Shay and Dave both join as 42T continues to experience unprecedented UK and growing international demand for its product design and development services from major clients in sectors such as: medical diagnostics; energy; industrial and consumer products; and food and drink. 2010 saw annual turnover reach a new level from larger client projects, more repeat business from existing clients and major wins from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The 42 Technology team of industry experienced physicists, engineers, industrial designers and analysts is expert at conceiving and developing novel products for efficient manufacture.
