22-04-2004

Innova Systems, the only SolidWorks reseller based in East Anglia, is hoping for a hole in one this July, as it takes up sponsorship of the first hole at the first ever 'Press Relief Charity Golf Classic'.

The high profile golf event has been organised by 'Press Relief' - the newly founded charity set up by Cambridge Newspapers Ltd. The event will be held on the 1st July at the Gog Magog Golf Course, Cambridge. Teams will compete over 18 holes for the Cambridge Evening News Challenge Trophy. In addition the top six teams will also receive prizes donated by businesses in the area.

In support of this local initiative Innova Systems will sponsor the first hole and also enter a team of enthusiastic golfers.

Mark Bradford, Managing Director of Innova Systems said: 'We are pleased to get involved with the 'Press Relief' campaign, and think it is great to see the media in Cambridge using its status to help raise money for local causes. Sponsoring the first hole highlights our commitment to this charity and we hope that the event raises a sizeable sum of funding for Press Relief.'

Bradford continued 'We look forward to playing at The Gog Magog Golf Club. This day should be a perfect blend of good golf, polite competition and a chance to fundraise for the local community.'
