Professionals at the forefront of medtech innovation in the UK are taking part in the conference which will focus on the challenge of better integrating pioneering technologies into the NHS. Taking place at the Wellcome Trust, Genome Campus, Hinxton Hall, Cambridge, the conference seeks to equip attendees with practical guidance, ranging from how to raise investment to how to harness the power of health economics. Also, on offer will be advice from expert teams on R&D tax credits, IP licensing and regulatory compliance.

Several presentations will focus on emerging medtech trends, using examples of successful innovations to illustrate the steps needed to bring an innovation from idea to market. Exclusive insight into some of the innovations from HEE’s member NHS Trusts and related healthcare industry partners that are currently in development will also be unveiled. There will also be the chance to see live pitching in action as the inventors from HEE member Trusts behind five innovative projects all compete to win a £5,000 innovation voucher, delivering their ideas to the gathered audience and a panel of judges.

Hosted by science writer and broadcaster, Vivienne Parry OBE, the event will include keynote speeches from a number of clinical entrepreneurs and senior leaders within the healthcare industry and from emerging tech areas such as AI and robotics.
