Anthias Consulting offers, alongside other analytical techniques, training on gas chromatography (and GC-MS) instruments, covering a wide range of manufacturers' instruments and software. These are practical hardware and software courses which are based both within classroom and laboratory environment, with a maximum of 6 people.
The hardware courses provide fundamental theoretical, maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge of the technique, along with practicals focusing purely on a particular manufacturer or instrument model(s).
The software courses focus on how to use that particular manufacturer's software and the optimal workflows for it, with practical exercises taking place on computers in the laboratory or laptops in the classroom.
Many of these courses take place as scheduled courses and all of them can be taught onsite, with tailoring as required.
The latest of Anthias Consulting's training courses to be approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry are:

The Royal Society of Chemistry’s CPD approval process is one of peer review, involving assessment to a set of criteria by experts in their field. The course content must adhere to rigorous quality standards, provide relevant course content and must demonstrate the continual appraisal and improvement of the course. The assessor of the Agilent GC courses provided the following feedback:
"The course presentations are clear and well laid out, the feedback forms are responded to.
"The courses state the level at which they are aimed and these levels are defined, the aims are clearly stated and a pre course questionnaire given out to gauge the audience level.
"Feedback clearly shows that the courses address the customers’ needs."
The Agilent GC with OpenLAB ChemStation will be held at The Open University in Milton Keynes on 30th April – and this can be attended as a full 4-day course, or the individual 2-day hardware and software courses. Find out more and register here.
