Times Higher list places Anglia Ruskin in world’s top 350 – and joint 39th in UK
In the 2018 rankings released this afternoon, Anglia Ruskin is placed in the 301-350 category for the second year running and is joint 39th out of all UK universities. Anglia Ruskin is also the highest ranked of all post-92 UK universities.
The 2018 rankings of the world’s top 1,000 universities is led by the University of Oxford, with the University of Cambridge, California Institute of Technology, Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology completing the top five.
The rankings use 13 different performance indicators to measure each university’s teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
Professor Iain Martin, Vice Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University, said: “Our strong showing in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings is something we can all be proud of and is testament to the hard work of our staff.
“Simply being included in this list of the top 1,000 universities in the world is very pleasing but to yet again feature in the top 350 is an outstanding achievement.”
In 2016 Anglia Ruskin featured in a list of the 20 “rising stars” in global Higher Education compiled by strategy consultants Firetail, and was named as one of the top 20 UK universities for teaching quality in The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide. Earlier this year Anglia Ruskin received a Silver award in the Teaching Excellence Framework.
