Ann Fisher of Bailey Fisher meets with David Cameron to discuss barriers to growth for SMEs

Ann Fisher, Founding Partner of Bailey Fisher Executive Search, met with David Cameron this week to discuss barriers to growth for early-stage companies & SMEs. Talk focused on reduced NI payments, banking support & the indirect costs of employing a team.

Discussion focused on a cut in National Insurance payments and revised payment terms, in addition to general funding issues, the indirect costs of employing a team, and the impact of blue chips/corporates reducing payment terms from 90 days to 60 days.  A reduction in the time to obtain working visas for overseas employees, and incentives to employ and train graduates were also discussed.  

Ann Fisher was one of nine successful business leaders from Cambridge's entrepreneurial small businesses invited to discuss barriers to growth with David Cameron as he visited the city on 14 October.  The group also included Bailey Fisher client UltraSoC Technologies, alongside PneumaCare, Ellexus and Viewranger, amongst others.
