The Absolute Basics of Metabolomics is aimed at those with little or no knowledge of the subject and offers a 1-day introduction covering the history, development and current use of Metabolomics in fields such as clinical, environmental and biotechnology applications.
A more advanced 4-day course offers training in the use of data analysis software available within Agilent-based mass spectrometry instrumentation when performing Metabolomic studies. Delegates will learn through a combination of presentations and practical hands-on data analysis exercises.
The courses have been developed in conjunction with Metabolic specialist Dr Simon Thain of TL Science and are both scheduled to run in November.
The venue for the courses is The Open University in Milton Keynes, UK, which provides Anthias with their training facility and an unrivalled suite of world-class analytical instrumentation in modern laboratories. In addition, both courses can be delivered at a customer’s site – either as the regular course or tailored to meet the customer’s exact needs.
Anthias founder and director Diane Turner said: “We deliver training and consultancy in a broad range of industries and meet professionals looking for training in a range of related fields and analytical techniques. These new courses provide a natural cross-over for us into this exciting field and expand our training portfolio for current and future clients.”
