A Warwick University Graduate, Diane started her career as an Analytical Chemist, later on gaining significant experience as an Applications Chemist. Diane has 17 years’ industry experience having developed methods, given support and high quality training for companies in most industries around the world.

Diane founded Anthias Consulting 11 years ago to provide high quality training and consultancy to "bridge the gap"; working with both the analysts who use the GC instrumentation and the instrument manufacturers and bringing experience of an insight into the needs of each.

Diane's area of research is disease diagnosis through her PhD studies at The Open University in Milton Keynes, where the academic expertise and research behind the GC-MS instrument used on the Rosetta Mission is being taken forward in applications for detecting cancer.

Diane said: "I am very proud of this achievement and to receive this recognition from my peers through such a prestigious and historic organisation as the Royal Society of Chemistry. My career enables me to work with professionals from a wide variety of industries and backgrounds and to be involved in some really exciting research through my PhD studies."
