Anthias' GC-MS injection techniques training approved for CPD by Royal Society of Chemistry

Anthias Consulting is pleased to announce that its Hands-on training courses covering advanced injection techniques for Gas Chromatography & GC-MS have been approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The approved training comprises of the 2-day Hands-on Advanced Injection for GC & GC-MS course on which attendees can learn about and practice some advanced and powerful GC techniques, with 50% of the time spent in the laboratory using the instrumentation. The course looks at the benefits of each injection technique, how to select the best techniques for samples and analytes and how to optimise the individual technique parameters. Delegates will gain practical experience in the lab creating, using and optimising methods.

The 2-day course can also be attended as two individual one-day courses to focus on a particular technique, with the 1-day Hands-on Multi-Mode Inlets (MMIs) & Programmable Temperature Vapourisers (PTVs) course and the 1-day Hands-on Large Volume Injection (LVI) course.

Analysts from around the world have attended this specialist course at Anthias' UK training facility. One delegate travelled from Canada to attend the 2-day course along with sample preparation training in September 2018. Feedback has been very positive, particularly in relation to the hands-on elements, with comments such as these:

  • "[I enjoyed the] hands-on practical content."
  • "[I enjoyed] experimenting in the lab."
  • "Very good level. Definitely I'll recommend it! (I enjoyed) the discussions with Diane, her experience is impressive."
  • "Good use of lecture time translating into laboratory exercises to illustrate the point fully."
  • "Very good content and course material, and allowed time for questions and comments, and good mix between class and hands on."
  • "I learned a lot of little things that can really make a difference but I never thought about."

Delegates interested in receiving this training can register to attend a scheduled course at Anthias' training facility at The Open University in Milton Keynes, UK. The next date is 16th September 2019 - register now.

Alternatively, the training can be delivered onsite at the customer's laboratory. This provides the opportunity to create a tailored training plan to meet the exact needs of the organisation in the length of time, level and depth of topics covered. Find out more.
