It is the fifth successive year that ARU has made the prestigious list, placing among the 301-350th universities in the world out of a list of more than 1,500. ARU placed joint 38th in the UK.
The 2021 rankings, which were published at noon today (2 September), are generated from five pillars – a broad set of indicators which represent key areas in higher education excellence. These indicators measure each university’s teaching, research, citations (research influence), industry income and international outlook.
Professor Roderick Watkins, Vice Chancellor of ARU, said: “This consistent performance is something we can all be proud of and is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff. They have shown tremendous flexibility and resilience during what has been a tough year.
“To be recognised as one of the top 350 universities in the world again is a fantastic achievement, and we are particularly pleased to have improved our UK ranking from last year.”
