Bailey Fisher welcomes 80 top women in tech to House of Lords

Bailey Fisher Executive Search was delighted to welcome 80 top female CEOs, CXOs, NEDs and investors from the technology sector in the UK and internationally to the House of Lords for their flagship Women 4 Technology event. The guest speakers were Shirin Dehghan (CEO/Founder of Arieso) & Paralympic Medallist, Olivia Breen.

Guest speaker Shirin Dehghan shared the story of how she built Arieso, with the backing of a mainly female board, to a successful exit to JDSU this year for $85m.  The secrets of her success?  Tenacity, determination and a great team. 

Olivia Breen exhibited the drive and determination that led, at 16 to her becoming the second youngest member of Team GB at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, winning bronze in the T35/38 4 x 100m relay.   Olivia cited vision, hard work and a great support network as vital for her success.    

The event was attended by top female CEOs, CXOs, NEDs & investors in the technology sector, including delegates from Samsung, Microsoft, CISCO, Orange, O2 & Dyson alongside CEOs & CXOs from ambitious high-growth companies at the forefront of software, smart homes, renewables, ecommerce and mhealth. The event attracted an international delegation, from Switzerland, Israel, New York & Silicon Valley. 

Women 4 Technology was set up in 2009 by Bailey Fisher Executive Search as an informal network for female CEOs, CXOs, NEDs & investors in the technology sector.  Events celebrate the successes of business women across the technology sector, and the ethos is inspiration, with inspiring speakers and inspirational delegates. Previous guest speakers include Martha Lane Fox (UK Digital Champion & Co-founder of Lastminute.com), Sharon Vosmek (Silicon Valley Woman of Influence), Nickie Smith (Global Head of Marketing for Microsoft) & Angel Gambino, WIRED Top 100 entrepreneur who masterminded the digitalisation of Westfield Shopping Centre for the London 2012 Olympics.
