Nic, who graduated with a Graphic Arts Degree in 1997, will give an insight into working in the film and TV industry, and discuss how he became one of the most prolific and successful producers of title sequences in the UK.
His London studio MOMOCO, based in Carnaby Street, was nominated for a BAFTA for the main titles of E4’s TV show Misfits in 2010. Then, in the same year, the company won the Type Director’s Club (New York) Excellence in Typography Award for the opening titles for An Education.
Nic’s success continued in 2012 when he won an Emmy – the television equivalent of an Oscar – for the main titles for the BBC TV adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations.
Nic’s film credits include An Education, Cuban Fury, The Hours, Johnny English, Quartet and Love Actually; which has seen him collaborate with leading directors such as Richard Curtis, Stephen Daldry, Lasse Hallstrom, Kevin Spacey and Dustin Hoffman.
In addition to Great Expectations and Misfits, his TV credits include Ripper Street, Luther, Murphy’s Law and Episodes. Last October, Nic was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Arts by Anglia Ruskin for his outstanding success in the world of film and television.
