Birketts' Construction Seminars explore NEC4 contracts and Health and Safety issues

Birketts' forthcoming Construction Seminar series will examine NEC4 contracts and Health and Safety within the industry. These free breakfast seminars will be held across the region, including The Møller Centre, Cambridge, on Tuesday 31 October.

NEC4 - Evolution or revolution? Discussing the new range of NEC4 contracts, focusing on the revamps to NEC3 and the new contracts and provisions the draughtsman have added to the range. The NEC range of contracts is increasingly popular and is often used in public sector works after the success of the procurement of London 2012. It is often the contract of choice for those working on civil engineering projects and its modular format makes it suitable for almost any method of construction procurement, irrespective of the payment method and the allocation of design.

·       Construction: the good, bad and unlucky: a look at health and safety incidents in construction, how the courts deal with them and some practical tips on real risk management.

Each seminar will start at 7.45am where a light breakfast will be available. Presentations will commence at 8.30am finishing at 9.30am, when there will be an opportunity to question our speakers further.
