Firms are assessed on their recruitment process, the training they offer and the quality of their work placement schemes, and then compared with their peers. The winners will be announced at an awards presentation ceremony that takes place on Thursday 19 May 2016 at Merchant Taylor’s Hall in London.
Shaun Savory, human resources director, said: “The awards honour the law firms and individuals who offer recruits the best possible start to their legal careers and it’s a privilege to be recognised within the legal profession. We are delighted to have been nominated once again.”
Shaun continued: “Birketts offers eight training contracts a year for law and non-law graduates from a variety of backgrounds and the application deadline for the 2018 training contracts is 31 July 2016. Our training contract comprises four 'seats', with each one lasting six months. Our overall aim is to give our trainees a higher level of responsibility than they might experience elsewhere so that they develop the required skills in advance of qualification.”
