Building Business Success with George Clarke

Aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the county and featuring a guest talk by leading architect and TV presenter George Clarke, the Building Business Success event will showcase how working with academics could increase profitability, productivity and efficiency.

Each year Anglia Ruskin helps around 2,000 organisations with knowledge transfer, which is the process of turning technology, know-how, expertise and skills into innovative commercial products and services.

A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a three-way partnership between a business, Anglia Ruskin University and a graduate, working together on a project central to the company’s needs.  With over 15 years’ experience in the area, Anglia Ruskin is a leading provider of knowledge transfer programmes in the East of England.

Guest speaker George Clarke, the presenter of The Home Show, The Restoration Man and George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, will talk about innovation and transformation in the context of the built environment.

The event will also see the launch of Anglia Ruskin’s new Centre for Heritage and Conservation, which will specialise in knowledge sharing, consultancy, investigation and advice in relation to the conservation of historic buildings and heritage preservation.

In addition to hearing from George Clarke and some of the local businesses to have benefited from KTPs with Anglia Ruskin, the event will also feature a Q&A hosted by BBC Essex presenter Dave Monk.
