Cambridge Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning to further boost innovation at Airbus

The University of Cambridge’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL) has won a contract to design and deliver an entrepreneurship course to further boost innovation within leading global aircraft manufacturer, Airbus.

Airbus will be working with a high profile University with both academic credentials and a track record in delivering entrepreneurship education. The Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, based at Cambridge Judge Business School, beat off competition from a range of institutions with a programme strongly based in experiential learning, i.e. learning by doing, and harnessing the expertise and knowledge of a wide network of experienced entrepreneurs, investors and mentors.

“We’re delighted to be working with Airbus to inspire innovation and deliver real results within the company through this practical learning programme, " said Yupar Myint (pictured), Director of International Business Development at the Centre for Entrepreneurial learning (CfEL)

Twenty-five Airbus employees from Germany, France and the UK will participate in the ‘Airbus BoostCamp’ which will run over three months comprising of three distinct modules. The employees will bring their own innovation ideas to develop and assess throughout the course with the support of tutors and coaches. The course culminates with an opportunity to pitch to a panel of experts including senior executives within Airbus.

The Centre has engaged a large pool of entrepreneurs and experts to share their experience and knowledge with the participants including Professor Christoph Loch, Director of Cambridge Judge Business School; Lord Karan Bilimoria CBD DL, entrepreneur and life peer, founder of Cobra Beer; Dr Uday Phadke, CEO of Cartezia; Alan McDougall of Mathys Squire; Dr Michael Barrett, Professor of Information Systems & Innovation Studies at Cambridge Judge Business School; Jamie Urquart, Partner at Pond Ventures; and Chris Lamaison, founder of Cambridge Resolution.

The programme starts from the 27th February at the Pitt Building in Cambridge.
