Despite the global pandemic, and the effect of Covid-19 restrictions on the charity’s activities, Jimmy’s nevertheless succeeded in achieving life-changing results for the community.

In 2021:

  • 180 people were moved from emergency accommodation into more independent living

  • 16 people received their own front door in an innovative modular home

  • More than 400 people were given support across the range of services provided by the charity

  • 25,000 support hours were provided, despite the pandemic

  • 7,500 home cooked meals and more than 3000 food parcels were provided for residents

Kurt*, a resident supported by the charity said:“Jimmy’s is my leg up. Just the fact that I have a roof over my head and meals every day: that helps your future. Jimmy’s was a lifesaver. It gets you on the ladder, where you can start making progress.”

Mark Allan, Chief Executive of Jimmy’s Cambridge, commented:“I am really pleased to launch our 2021 Impact Report.  This document gives a great snapshot of what the charity achieved in what were, as we all know, challenging circumstances last year.

He continued: “We would not have been able to accomplish this for our residents without the support of everyone in our community. So, on behalf of everyone at Jimmy’s, I would like to express our gratitude for everyone who helped us in these last 12 months. Together we can do great things.”
