Cambridge City Hotel invests in customer experience

Cambridge City Hotel, located in the heart of Cambridge, has made a number of significant investments in order to enhance guest and visitor experiences.

As part of these, Quinns, located on Downing Street, has undergone considerable refurbishment.  Updates to Quinns, Cambridge’s only Irish bar, include a complete re-decoration with new furniture, to give the space a fresh and contemporary feel.  The food menu has also been made over to feature ‘pub grub classics’ such as club sandwiches, traditional fish and chips and steak and ale pies.

Newly appointed Outlet Manager Anna Waine who was previously Duty Manager at Cambridge City Hotel, now oversees the running of the pub.

Anna said: “The hotel’s visitors, tourists and pub regulars have been impressed by Quinns’ new look and often comment on their fondness for Quinns’ famous Saturday night Karaoke nights.” Anna confirmed these will still be a mainstay on the venue’s calendar.

Cambridge City Hotel has also introduced a new television system across the whole hotel site, adding significant value to the hotel’s in-room offering, in line with guest expectations.

This investment sees all 198 of the hotels fully air-conditioned, en suite bedrooms now featuring Samsung LED HD TVs, complete with a Sky Box.  Standard rooms are equipped with the Entertainment, Sports and HD packages and the executive rooms’ package also includes Movies.

In addition, a new television has been installed in the hotel’s Bloomsbury Bar, enabling guests to enjoy watching the latest live Sky sports action from the comfort of the lounge bar, where they can relax and enjoy light, tasty snacks, a delicious “Afternoon Tea”, and even treat themselves to a cocktail.

Ernesto Santarelli, General Manager at Cambridge City Hotel, said: “Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us.  These latest updates form part of our on-going strategic investment plan across the hotel’s amenities and facilities, ensuring we continue to provide a first rate customer experience.”
