Bond180 is a digital platform that improves the way institutional investors engage with fixed income markets. The Bond180 team (pictured above) combines decades of capital markets and technology experience and is backed by an industry-leading advisory and investor panel.

The company offers its clients three core services. The first, its Demand Management System (DMS), is a data and analytics product that helps institutional investors enhance their market-facing activity. This service will soon be brought to market via an exclusive pilot programme targeting the buy-side.

The second, 180Match, is a reverse enquiry engine that streamlines communication with the sell-side.

The third, the Issue Administration Network (IAN), offers bespoke digital asset issuance and administration services to the sell-side.

Bond180 believes capital markets are in the midst of a significant innovation cycle and has made its mission giving clients the tools they need to remain ahead of the curve.

Bond180 has partnered with R3, the leading enterprise-grade distributed ledger technology provider, to deliver its service on R3’s Corda platform. Bond180 is also happy to be supported by Outlier Ventures, F10 FinTech Incubator and Accelerator, and its strategic investors and advisors.

Company founder Phil Holbrook said: “Our mission is to help optimise financial services by leveraging collective scale and intelligence for the benefit of all. We do this by making asset sourcing and placement faster, cheaper, and better”.

Senior Investment Associate James Thomas, who led the deal at Cambridge Enterprise, said: “B2B fintech is an area of significant growth as incumbent businesses are increasingly forced to adapt and innovate. We believe fintech will flourish in the Cambridge technology ecosystem, particularly given the presence of the world-class Cambridge Judge Business School and the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance. We’re delighted to back this diverse and multi-faceted team as they develop a transformational solution for investment businesses”.
