Cambridge Filmworks is a firm favourite with National Horseracing Museum

Cambridge Filmworks has teamed up with The National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket to produce the first of three films documenting the centre's journey as it moves from the Old Subscription Rooms of the Jockey Club in the town centre to their spectacular new five-acre site at Palace House, Charles II's original Racing Palace.

Set to open in early 2016, the new 'National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art' will include a museum that celebrates the sport and science of horse riding alongside a gallery of British sporting Art. Live thoroughbred horses will also be on show as part of the visitor experience!

The film combines stunning UAV 'fly through' footage of the palace site as it develops alongside graphic visualisations of the interative, computer generated displays and new exhibition showcases.

Museum Director Chris Garibaldi commented: ' What's so exciting about this film is being able to fly over the site and see the buildings as they're taking shape. It really does capture the work in progress'

Filmworks director Adam Giles said ' combining panoramic aerial footage with ground level shots of the construction work gives the film such a dynamic feeling and also gives you a real flavour of just how spectacular the new heritage centre is going to be. Newmarket has always been important to people who like horseracing but the new site at Palace House is going to attract so many more visitors and put the town firmly on the UK's cultural map.'
