“A problem for local organisations is that there are few workshops, benchmarking sessions and courses locally and it can be difficult to find those that do exist. This forces organisations to give up searching, or opt for expensive and potentially disruptive solutions well away from Cambridge.” says John Hall, Director of Enstrata Ltd, and portal founder. “Our aim is to change that through the use of a local portal which will allow local experts to offer items of value to local organisations.”
The portal makes it easy for trainers and consultants in the Cambridge area to offer productivity or training sessions in an almost risk-free way. Reducing risks for trainers/consultants makes it much more likely that more workshops and sessions will be offered to local organisations.
By accessing the local portal, employers will be able quickly find out what is available and can sign up for a newsletter to keep them up to date with what is on in the Cambridge area.
“There are a number of additional advantages to short courses being provided locally.” continues John Hall. “They reduce disruption from travel and they far more affordable. We also require courses to have an implementation focus so organisations can practically use what is learnt. Benchmarking sessions, in particular, can be made very practical and offer excellent potential for productivity.”
The local portal launches with a range of executive productivity and training courses up to managing director level that are being provided by a variety of trainers and consultants. It is intended to extend the range of activities into wider and more technical areas as more trainers and consultants join in.
