Cambridge Innovation Park welcomes new tenants

Cambridge Innovation Park is delighted to announce the arrival of Optibrium within its serviced office space in Blenheim House.

Optibrium is a developer of software for small molecule drug discovery.  Founded in 2009, Optibrium develops new products and researches novel technologies to improve the efficiency and productivity of the drug discovery process.  They work closely with a broad range of customers and collaborators in leading global pharma, biotech and academic groups as well as agrochemical and flavouring companies. Visit Optibrium’s website for further information www.optibrium.com

Dr Matthew Segall, Optibrium’s CEO, explains the reasons for their move to Cambridge Innovation Park: “The location was ideal, the cost appropriate and the facilities in the new development, including the gym and bistro, were very attractive.  We consulted with our team on several options and this was the unanimous choice.  Our interactions with Landlords, Paragon, and Greenlight FM, Property Managers, have been very positive, perhaps due to the fact that they are both local companies.

"We made the decision to lease ‘off plan’ while the building was still a hole in the ground.  It’s been fun to be involved in the project from the beginning.

"We plan to expand further and, with future developments expected on Cambridge Innovation Park, this will give us the opportunity to grow without having to relocate again.”

Independently owned and run, by Paragon Land & Estates Ltd, Cambridge Innovation Park prides itself on having a Park which promotes ‘a better working lifestyle’ with on-site The Hive Café, Soda Wine Bar & Bistro, Inspired Health & Fitness Gym and Spa and Brooke’s Beauty Salon – all this with excellent value serviced offices on the outskirts of Cambridge.  The Park is ideal for businesses at all stages - from their inception through to their growth.  The Park has two buildings - Stirling House – which is the perfect environment for new start-ups and young companies and Blenheim House – which is great for growing high-tech companies looking for self-contained accommodation.

Matt adds: “We are now neighbours with Zyme Communications, our PR agency, and our recruitment consultants, Empiric, making these relationships even stronger. There is also a real ‘buzz’ around the park due to the presence of several entrepreneurial companies and Incubyte, the business incubator.

"A good working environment and access to quality facilities are key to recruiting talented members of our team.  We think that the environment on Cambridge Innovation Park will help us to recruit and retain the best talent as we grow.”
