Cambridge Network’s Learning Collaboration welcomes Julia to the team

Julia Wix has joined Cambridge Network’s Learning Collaboration team as its new Learning & Development (L&D) Business Account Manager.

Julia (known as Jules) brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the L&D field, most recently from Booking.com. where she worked first as a Trainer, then as a Global Training Specialist.

This meant following the full learning cycle, involving training needs analysis, designing learning programmes, creating digital learning materials, delivering training at all levels at sites in Europe, Asia and  the USA, and then using feedback and data to review and improve.

With this experience, Julia is working with Cambridge Network members to identify their development needs and connect them to the right training opportunities. In particular, she will be supporting the Learning Collaboration's Strategic Managers and Experienced Managers peer learning groups.

Julia grew up in and around Cambridge so she has a real passion for the area. She has also lived in Belgium, Canada and the Netherlands and speaks French (when she has to). Her studies were in Ancient History, specialising in Ancient Persia. Outside work she loves live music, visiting museums and attending as much theatre as possible.

"We are delighted to welcome Jules to the team,"said Hilary Laing, Cambridge Network's COO. "Her background in L&D means she brings a fresh perspective to our service, so she will add a new dimension to our offering to members. She will be available to talk to HR and L&D professionals as well as any individuals who want to discuss training needs within their organisations."

If you have any questions about learning and development opportunities available through the Learning Collaboration, please get in touch with her: Julia.Wix@cambridgenetwork.co.uk
