Cambridge Science Centre is choc full of science

This Easter the Cambridge Science Centre will be exploring the science of chocolate and what makes your favourite bar (and egg) taste so good!

Open all through Easter, including bank holidays

Join in with some of these fun events:

  • Hear from Dr Ian Wilson (University of Cambridge) about how the right crystal structure of chocolate makes it taste so good
  • Discover the secrets of chocolate welding (bookable - places are limited)
  • Experience the centre's new 'Choc Full of Science' gallery show
  • Find out how we get from bean to bar with Robin Chappell (Chocolat Chocolat)
  • 'From your tum to your...' - Delve into the secrets of digestion with Shell and discover more about what happens to the chocolate you eat.

Throughout the Easter holidays the centre will be running 'Top of the Chocs' - testing the strength of our favourite bars to their breaking point. Which do you think is stronger, a Twix or a Wispa?? Results will be posted on the centre's Facebook page...
